Generally tax deductible as a cost of managing your tax affairs.
Costs of managing your own tax affairs, including tax reference material and software, are generally deductible for Australian taxpayers (ITAA 1997 s 25-5; ATO individual return item D10). Apportion the cost if you also use it for other purposes. Business subscribers can generally deduct it as a business expense and claim the GST. This is general information, not tax advice. What counts as a lookup?
Each time your agent consults the corpus: a search, a document, a passage, a definition, a threshold, a live fetch or a workflow tool run. Reading your saved tax facts and the stats tool are free.
